A collaboration to enhance and advance critical care in Wales

WICS is the professional society for those involved with care of the critically ill in Wales. Its aims are to advance critical care in Wales through education, training and the coordination of audit and research, to engage with national professional bodies and authorities, and to promote collaboration between health organisations involved in the provision of critical care.

The society is open to clinical staff and students of all acute specialities and disciplines involved with care of the critically ill in Wales.

WICS believes that healthcare should be a safe space for all professionals and patients.

The Society strongly condemns and will not tolerate any abusive or discriminatory behaviour or harassment on the grounds of gender, sexual orientation, religion or ethnicity, and supports ongoing efforts to eradicate these damaging affronts to personal dignity and safety.
